The name suggests it: actually a pretty crazy idea, Riesling and Pinot Noir to be vinified together. Thorsten Melsheimer but it succeeds perfectly: dark yeasty spiciness meets floral notes, nice tart citrus zest, red fruit from Pinot meets Riesling freshness. The 2021 Insanus is a bit calmer and more balanced than that 2020 vintage. Substantial yet light on the palate, extremely drinkable! Insanus!
