Melsheimer – GRAPETIMES Special – Dry Riesling 2021

We've waited a long time and now it's finally here, our first one edition. A Moselle Riesling that has been matured in wooden barrels for over 1 year. It's amazing what you get for your money here.

Typical Mosel Riesling dry with a lot of depth and great minerality from Biodynamik Pionier Thorsten Melsheimer from the Moselle!
Fresh, spicy Riesling with elegant fruit and beautiful herbal notes. The minerality is present and yet not intrusive. Nuances of earth and some baked bread add an interesting note. Riesling made from slate steep slopes at a high level and at an unbeatable price.

Thorsten says: 2021 is really the craziest vintage we have ever experienced. The yield was as low as ever (which is why we are extra happy that Thorsten bottled something extra for us) over 80% Harvest was destroyed by hail and environmental influences, but what is left is of extremely good quality.
