It is better to visit Alessandro Viola personally to find out more about him, the winery and his wines. He cares very little about wine expertise, online marketing, advertising in general. He prefers to work in his 20 hectares of vineyards or in the cellar.

First of all, we liked the playful bottles and labels. When it came to tasting, we were really surprised: we have never had such idiosyncratic yet elegant white wines from the island in our tasting glasses.

The White wines come from Grillo vines, his Redden are mainly made from the Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese grape varieties.

The vineyards are about 200 meters above sea level, face north-west and are dominated by clay and limestone soils.

Alessandro Viola works organically, bottles his wines unfiltered and tries to avoid sulphurization as far as possible.
