the wine

A Merlot, full of flavor, lots of fruit but not clumsy. Rather fresh - almost Pinot Noir style.
The DB Schmitt - Piros 2019 has a smoky herbal nose, with some air tobacco notes, velvety but not fat. Nice mix of spice and fruit. Also very nice when slightly chilled. It is best to leave some time in the carafe and not drink too warm. A “real” natural wine, bottled unfiltered and without sulfur. And as always with Bianka and Daniel Schmitt Worked biodynamically and also Demeter certified.

100% Merlot. Fermented spontaneously. 6 weeks of contact with the mash, matured in 600 liter wooden barrels.
