Julien Altaber's basic Chardonnay La Fleur Au Verre is much more than basic: light, spicy, rustic rather than highly polished, yeasty-nutty, also herbal-reductive, with citrus and pome fruit. Looks much slimmer than the alcohol content suggests, tastes of light, sour fruit, delicately lactic, firm grip. Welcome to Burgundy!
