Tom Lubbe, the mastermind behind Matassa, can do it simply: white, red, orange (soon to be rosé too!) – always with their own signature. Matassa - Cuvée Alexandria 2021 has an ingeniously multi-faceted, floral-spicy fragrance. Orange peel, bergamot, sandalwood, IPA beer, peanut, rose oil, thyme, white blossom, apple cider and more flavors with each sniff. Despite the super low alcohol content, it rolls densely, salty and nutty on the palate, lots of yeast and almonds, demanding but very high-quality tannins. Orange at the top level!
Tip: This is a great wine that you can keep open in the refrigerator for days and weeks and watch the changes from day to day.
