Lots of dark berries and fruits: blackberries, black cherries, plums, cassis and elderberry. In addition, subtle ethereal notes are reminiscent of eucalyptus and sage. Overall, this Catalan smells inviting and intensely escape-oriented. There is always a dark, mystical component in the background. Extremely exciting and promising. Then right in the mouth Juiciiiiiiiiiness without end, a mouth full of wine :)
The blend of Cariñena and Garnacha keeps what the nose promised. The rich, dark, juicy fruit and a fine acid structure get along like best buddies. Tobacco notes and Christmas spice complete the whole thing. Equipped with proper drinking flow, it looks unusually slim and straight from the hot climate.
Please do not get this wrong. The Gotes del Montsant is anything but lightweight, but the fruit is cool and it appears very silky.
Powerful, with drinking flow, something Rouge Sailant, but less Wyld.
