Wow, wow wow, one of our favorite red wines right now. Super juicy without getting jammy. Great fruit and yet bone dry. Vignoble Réveille - Pointe Rouge - on point!
The nose is slightly peppery but has some fruit. Nice and soft in the mouth, plays with sour and sweet, cherry, forest fruit and slightly salty. Great fun to drink.
This is what France says about her wine:
The grapes are harvested on September 23rd and 24th, when tannins ripen with difficulty. Grapes destemmed in the vat. Local yeasts. Co-fermentation of the grapes. Maceration of the skin for 3 weeks. Gentle vinification to avoid the tannins.
The wine was aged in concrete barrels for 2 years, the time to finish its sugar remains 4 grams! Vinified and matured without sulfites,
Tangential filtering before creation. Bottled on the estate on August 22, 2018, without input.
The palate is surprising because the wine brings divergent sensations with light fruit, a velvety and fine texture, the feeling of freshness despite a hint of sweetness. This on a tasty basis and melted tannins. The wine will be very fun in conjunction with fresh food, tart berries, artichokes, olive oil and spices! This wine is ready to be tasted. Over time, the components, acidity, sugar, tannins, will melt and the sensations will be placed differently.
