Staffelter Hof - Orange Utan consists of a cuvee of Riesling and Yellow Muscat.
We tried the wine from the barrel at Jan in spring 2021 and were immediately flashed. Compared to the previous year, the taste has increased in complexity.
A spicy and aromatic bomb made from Riesling and nutmeg. 3 weeks of skin or mash contact and 7 months in very old and large barrels (Mossel Fudder) give this wine a wonderful texture, color and balance. Spices, citrus fruits and flowers mix with a nice acidity and good drinkability.
Bottled unsulphurized and unfiltered.
