Sextant Julien Altaber - LA FLEUR AU VERRE Chardonnay 2019

Unpolished, straightforward Chardonnay. Drinks fast, but brings the necessary complexity and minerality that we love so much.

the wine

Julien Altaber's basic Chardonnay La Fleur Au Verre is much more than basic: light, spicy, rustic rather than highly polished, yeasty-nutty, also herbal-reductive, with citrus and pome fruit. Looks much slimmer than the alcohol content suggests, tastes of light, sour fruit, delicately lactic, firm grip. Welcome to Burgundy!
