The Muster - Rotwein 2010 is calm in itself and yet expressive is the first nose of this cuvée from Blaufränkisch, Blauem Wildbacher and Zweigelt. Dark berry notes that suggest tannic acid play the main role here in terms of fruit. Lingon and blackberry, as well as blueberry and cranberry. Everything that the forest has to offer is brought to that fruit: peel of walnut, hazelnut and beechnut; the earthy scent of dry autumn leaves and a subtle resinous note of pine cones invite you and make you want more.
The 2010 "Rotwein" from Maria and Sepp Muster is also very balanced in the mouth. Quiet instead of loud, it combines dark berry full-bodiedness with low alcohol and delicate elegance. Its lively acidic curve and slightly drying astringency in the aftertaste create tension and make it a musketeer for accompanying dishes.
